Somewhere between hot flashes and constantly looking for my readers (they're usually on my head), I realized women over 50 deserve better conversations about aging.

Welcome to WellBeyondFifty.

This is where I share what I'm learning about health, wellness, movement, style, and surviving menopause with my sense of humor mostly intact.

I'm not a doctor, a nutritionist, or a menopause expert. You won't find me dissecting clinical studies or pretending to have all the answers. I'm simply a curious woman asking questions, trying products, exploring new ideas, and sharing what works—and what absolutely doesn't—from my own experience.

Because let's be honest: menopause can feel like a cruel prank.

For generations, women were expected to suffer through it quietly. Symptoms were dismissed as "just getting older" or "being emotional." Our grandmothers rarely talked about it. Many of our mothers didn't either. Countless women spent years wondering if they were the only ones struggling with brain fog, sleepless nights, anxiety, weight gain, mood swings, and the overwhelming urge to hide from humanity.

Thankfully, that's changing.

Today, we're talking about menopause openly. Social media, podcasts, blogs, and online communities have connected women in ways previous generations never imagined. Mention menopause once and the algorithm immediately introduces you to thousands of women saying, "Wait...you too?"

Suddenly we're sharing stories, comparing notes, swapping recommendations, and discovering that we're not losing our minds. Well, not completely.

Of course, along with all that support comes an endless stream of supplements, miracle cures, workout plans, gadgets, oils, creams, powders, and promises. Every day someone is guaranteeing they'll fix your symptoms, flatten your meno-belly, restore your energy, and have you feeling 25 again by Tuesday.

That's where WellBeyondFifty comes in.

I'm doing the digging, trying some of the things, laughing at the rest, and sharing the journey along the way.

Because here's the funny part: after spending our 20s building a life, our 30s and 40s raising families, advancing careers, managing households, volunteering for endless kids’ activities, and putting everyone else's needs ahead of our own, we finally arrive at the stage we've been waiting for.

The kids are growing up. We have a little more freedom. A little more confidence. A little more perspective.

It's supposed to be our time.

Then perimenopause barges through the front door like an uninvited guest carrying a leaf blower.

You finally have time to enjoy life, but suddenly you'd rather cry, nap, and yell at strangers for breathing too loudly.

Beach vacation? Not with this bloating.

Girls' trip? Only if there's air conditioning.

Fitness goals? Let's circle back after this pint of ice cream.

And yet, despite all of it, I genuinely believe this can be one of the best chapters of our lives.

We're wiser. We're stronger. We're far less concerned about pleasing everyone else. We know who we are—and if we're still figuring it out, that's okay too.

So whether you're here for wellness tips, product recommendations, menopause commiseration, yoga inspiration, style ideas, or simply a reminder that you're not alone, I'm glad you're here.

Let's figure out this whole "aging gracefully" thing together.

Or at least age hilariously.
